"Diana’s calm energy and clear way of explaining the process made me feel comfortable very quickly. I was able to work through some trauma that had been weighing on me for years, and months later am still feeling the lightness of some of that trauma has been lifted. Brainspotting gave me a relief that talk therapy alone hadn’t quite touched.”

My own story
"Brainspotting saved me when I was in the depths of burnout a few years ago. I experienced healing of deep wounds that seemed like permanent scars on my life. It is possible to recover, and I would be so honored to be your guide."

"After a few sessions, I realized that my anxious dreams were gone and my rumination on a particular trauma had become less and less. I was safely able to process through some trauma that typical therapy was not fully helping with. I will continue to seek Brainspotting out as a piece of my therapy journey in the future."

Brainspotting
Brainspotting is a therapeutic tool that uses mind-body connection and focal points in your visual field to tap into deep and often stuck emotions. Unlike some other therapy practices, brainspotting taps into healing without over-intellectualizing or finding right the words for processing emotions. Being able to focus on themes rather than only on specific events allows for deep and complex trauma work. Trauma may be the focus of your therapy goals, but we can also incorporate brainspotting into the bigger picture of mental health. What drew me to this modality was the access to subcortical processing of trauma. Many people can talk all day about things that have happened to them, but without the deep emotional processing necessary to truly heal. Brainspotting cuts through that and gives you access to really move through and forward.

Who can benefit from brainspotting?
Whether you are new to therapy or long into your healing journey, brainspotting supports individuals to move through and heal difficult emotions, traumas, feeling stuck, and making behavior changes. When talk therapy isn't feeling effective, brainspotting can help move things that may feel stagnant.

What issues can brainspotting help with?
Brainspotting can help individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, attachment wounds, addiction, lack of motivation, and burnout. I have found that clients who are overthinkers, perfectionists, and burnt-out caregivers benefit greatly from this approach.

Brainspotting as adjunct to therapy
You may already have a therapist you work with and find that you need something more. Brainspotting is a great addition to work you are already doing with a therapist you trust. I am happy to work with your provider to add a few sessions (or more) of brainspotting to enrich your therapy work even further.

Can brainspotting be done via telehealth?
Yes! Brainspotting can be done through telehealth or in-person. Like any type of therapy, it can feel impactful to share space with your therapist. Brainspotting is still effective when done through a screen.
